Captain John Baltzell's first visit to meet the Key West dolphins was in 1993, he then began working with Dolphin Watch® in 2000. He was previously involved in wild dolphin population studies off the coast of South Carolina and has also spent time with dolphins in Costa Rica and the Fiji Islands. Capt. John is also in charge of the daily operations of Dolphin Watch and is a Captain and guide who truly enjoys sharing his knowledge.

When Capt. John is not onboard Dolphin Watch he likes to travel the world in search of dolphins, whales, and great surf spots.
